Traveling

Christmas is only a few days away; this means it's time to drive to
Iowa. We started this morning at 7:30am. I just finished driving and now it's Charlie's turn again. We took off a day early because Iowa is scheduled to get some pretty bad weather over the next few days. We are almost to Toledo, Ohio. We are thinking about driving all the way tonight to keep ahead of the weather. When I was 19 I could do this drive in one shot by myself, I have become aware that I am not as young as I used to be. Anyway, the trip goes by much faster with a second person. Asher's company is also a welcome addition. He takes turns sitting with his forearms on the center console, he is very cute. Another thing that has made these trips better is the fact that we have found a series of books on tape. Lame but also a great way to keep the back of the mind busy while driving. We are now listening to "Brinsinger" part of the Inheritance series. They are great and last the way there and half the way back. The other thing that I have discovered is knitting. Today I started a pair of socks for Charlie and a left handed fingerless glove to match the right one I made this nweekend. Knitting sounds like a great idea, I think I'll do that now.

I have now started speaking. I'm not really sure who to. So I started thinking...

What is a blog? Why would someone Blog? Who would read a blog? Is it really a blog if no one reads it? Someone who blogs is called a blogger. Are you a blogger? I am a blogger. Really a blog is an online journal, my husband refuses to create a blog because he doesn't want to make an online journal. So really he doesn't want to blog, although he really does. He tells me things he wants to write about, and insists it would not be an online journal. Really he would write about things in his life revolving around education, He is a teacher so basically he wants to make an online journal.

Does it help anyone to blog? Am I saving the world, or just myself? I read blogs; my friends have blogs, I have blogs. It's a nice way to keep track of all the things happening in someone's life. I have a blog that share my designs and another blog that shares all the crafts I make for my friends and family. They can be called websites, but they are just blogs. A blog is an online journal.

What happens if no one reads this blog? Will it just disappear? Will it only be seen by me? Will someone accidentally open this website and find this message and decide to start blogging? Will this entry make someone hate blogging even more than before? Does this blog actually exist? Does it exist for you or just for me?

If no one reads this blog does it count as an online journal? Is it really a blog?

Happy Snow Day!

This morning started like any other morning. Charlie woke up at 6am and got in the shower... Then everything changed. At 6:15am Charlie's phone rang. It was his school, Snow Day. Charlie gets back into bed. At 6:45am my phone rings, my friend and carpenter is calling out of work today. At 7am my alarm goes off and I look out the window. I realize I'm not leaving this morning. I email my school and then the playhouse. The last time I drove down the Merrit Parkway in weather like this I totalled my car. They say I can stay home. Everything is now very slushy outside. Charlie shovels the driveway incase we have to leave.  I decide not to drive 30 miles in slushy weather on major highways.

So I now declare today officially a snow day. Soon I will make brownies and watch Christmas movies with my husband.  We weren't expecting to see each other for the next 10 days. So I am happy that the snow fell last night. I am afraid I might start falling behind on the high school show, but I will work everything out somehow.  I don't know how but I always do. Now it's time to go downstairs and sew some Christmas presents while Charlie grades his class journals, while listening to Christmas music. Home on a snowy day, I think we can handle it. I'll try really hard to enjoy it.

Oh, I also discovered that I can send posts and pictures to my blog from my phone, so I am not testing this practice. I have typed this messange on my iphone, now I will see if it works. This new function should make posting new ramblings very handy! Good luck message. Off you go.

Here is Where I begin

I have now 3 blogs... I have no idea what I"m doing. I have one blog for my designs, one for my crafts, and now one for all my ramblings.

When I mean Ramblings... I mean that I plan to have adventures, I do not know what those adventures will be, but I promise to share them.

When I mean Ramblings... I mean anything that might come out of my mouth, I cannot confirm or deny that I know what any of it will mean.

When I mean Ramblings... I mean that I will grow in my life and encourage others to grow with me, for good or evil.

Welcome to my world... let's get lost!
